We’re seeking an innovative and experienced Recruitment Services Manager to join our People Directorate within a newly aligned Recruitment Operations and Talent Acquisition Team. You will report to our Director of Talent Acquisition and will be responsible for managing the Recruitment Operations team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll drive service excellence, champion inclusive hiring practices, and help build a scalable, sector-leading recruitment model. The position is a hybrid role, based a minimum of 3 days a week on our campus on Oxford Road, Manchester.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the delivery of a streamlined, effective, and bias-aware recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and stakeholders.
  • Influence strategic hiring practices and drive continuous improvement across recruitment operations.
  • Champion a culture of service excellence and inclusive hiring at scale.
  • Translate strategic goals into operational delivery and lead successful change programmes.
  • Use data and insight to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing high-quality recruitment services in large, complex organisations.
  • A track record of designing and implementing innovative, efficient recruitment processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing large teams.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a passion for creating positive candidate and stakeholder experiences.
  • Experience using diverse recruitment channels, including social media, to attract top and diverse talent.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strategic thinker and motivational leader aligned with the University’s values.

Desirable: Experience working within the higher education sector.

Interviews are likely to be on 14th and 15th August.
